She wanted a brand that reflected her personality - bright, professional and friendly, a logo, branding and a website.

Flex marketing was a brand new business offering a wide range of independent flexible marketing services in the West Yorkshire area. The client Jayne had a clear idea of what she wanted from us. She wanted a brand that reflected her personality - bright, professional and friendly. Jayne wanted a logo, branding and a website. We started by producing a series of typographical logos. We experimented with sans serif rounded fonts to give the logo a friendly feel and for the final options we adapted the font to create the unique logo seen above. The next step was to begin the branding. Jayne wanted a series of friendly icons creating for each of her services and an illustration of herself to use on her website, marketing materials and stationery. We tested lots of colour options that would contrast the logo and settled on a striking yellow to complement the dark grey lettering of the logo. We also produced a series of loose illustrations for the individual services and for the illustration of Jayne, then adding a block of yellow where we could. Jayne loved the designs so we added the elements to a simple business card design and began the process of building her website. The website used all the elements that we had created during the branding process especially in the top page banners and the service blocks. We employed a mobile first approach to the website designs as responsiveness is an important thing to consider for modern websites with a high proportion of traffic coming on mobile devices. We created 4 page templates, one each for the homepage, service pages, about us page and contact page. Following these templates and using the illustrations and brand colours we were able to build a responsive website with striking colours and great content (provided by Jayne) The client was extremely happy with the results and it has been well received by her growing list clients.
